Thermo Fisher Scientific has a new line of Thermo Scientific PocketTips, enabling nanolitre volume dispensing on current laboratory automated systems. An internally moulded capillary pocket allows transfer of 50-500nL molecular compounds suspended in Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) directly to assay
plates, saving time, reagent and labware, and improving data quality with in-tip mixing. PocketTips are made from high-quality
polypropylene that eliminates adherence and maximises the recovery of all fluids. Through aspiration, the capillary pocket fills with the specified amount of compound solution and facilitates soft in-tip mixing of sample and assay material.

Oxoid has launched the improved M.I.C.Evaluator (M.I.C.E.) strips, a product range for the accurate determination of
minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values. The new distinctive gradient format of M.I.C.E. strips provides an excellent contrast with agar and the increased font size makes reading
easier. M.I.C.E. strips combine the simplicity and ease of use of the diffusion method with the accuracy of an MIC test, to provide important information for the treatment of critically ill patients. M.I.C.E. strips carry a stabilised antimicrobial, covering 15 doubling dilutions, on a convenient polymer strip. The thickness of the M.I.C.E. strip makes it easy to handle as it is applied to a pre-inoculated agar plate. The
MIC is easily read where the growth of the organism touches the strip.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the new Thermo Scientific Liquid Handling Module for the ArrayScan VTI HCS Reader. Synchronous dispense-while-imaging capability, combined with kinetic image capture, a market-leading range of image analysis algorithms, and “on the fly” processing, allow the real-time capture of cellular phenotypes and rapid biological responses. Furthermore, multiple aspirate/dispense options enable dye loading, media replacement, incubation and stimulus addition to be fully automated. The Thermo Scientific Cellomics ArrayScan VTI with Liquid Handling Module provides a best-in-class automated solution for pharmacological studies, including GPCR biology, cell pathway
analysis, compound pharmacology and In Vitro toxicology.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced its new Thermo Scientific AquaTec water preservation cell, for the effective prevention of waterborne contamination in CO2 incubators and water baths. Designed to provide worry-free sample incubation
and cell culture, the AquaTec provides up to six months of protection from more than 600 types of bacteria, viruses, molds and fungi. The Thermo Scientific AquaTec enables the prevention of microbes from water without the use of harsh
chemicals, making it safe to handle and requiring no special disposal protocols. The AquaTec is designed and tested for all types of laboratory water and is suitable for use in equipment from any manufacturer.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced its new Thermo Scientific Revco PLUS -86?C upright freezers. These freezers are designed for high performance and are suited for all laboratories that require maximum temperature recovery, operational efficiency and a comfortable, productive environment. Revco PLUS upright freezers provide maximum heat removal capacity to ensure rapid temperature recovery after door openings. Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the Thermo Scientific Multidrop Combi nL bulk reagent dispenser for nanolitre-to-nanolitre volumes. The Multidrop Combi nL provides accurate, consistent, high-throughput dispensing for all laboratories across a volume range 50nL to 50µL. The Multidrop Combi nL is easy to maintain and can be used to dispense all common reagents, diluents, buffers and solvents as well as viscose solutions, cells and beads, making it ideal for the large variety of assays and protocols. The Multidrop uses a pressurised reagent container with valves to provide high precision and accurate control of liquid flow at all volumes.
