Scientific Support Services Ltd established in 1994 provides high quality laboratory instrument Sales and Support to its customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Our product portfolio includes PDA and Double Beam UV Vis Spectroscopy. TGA, DSC and STA Thermal Analyzers from SCINCO, and Chromatography Autosamplers from HTA.
We are also the exclusive support provider for AC Analytical Controls, a major channel partner of Agilent Technologies. We are supplying support services to there customer base throughout the UK, including service contracts, training and consumables. AC supply turnkey chromatography solutions to laboratories within the Oil Refining, Petrochemical, and Natural Gas industries.

Double-beam UV-Vis

The SCINCO standalone SD-1000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
combines the features of a windows PC with those of a
double beam instrument. The SD-1000 utilises a beam splitter
and two silicon photodiode detectors. Since the two beams
are measured simultaneously lamp drift is virtually eliminated,
analysis can begin immediately with little warm-up time for the
lamp to stabilise. The sample and blank are measured simultaneously. LabPro Duo software controls the SD-1000 and its ease of use makes it a very convenient and efficient tool to analyse results and carry out complete experiments. The software packages available range from the standard package for general quantification and qualification to the Bio Package which provides various analytical methods for protein DNA/RNA analysis, Enzyme Activity and mechanism.

Quality thermal analysers

The SCINCO full range of Thermal Analysers provides flexibility with a wide range of operating temperatures. The range of instruments includes TGA, DSC and STA with temperature ranges from -125 to 1500ºC. SCINCO’s advanced windows software provides easy operation while offering many advanced analysis features. The TGA measures mass changes as a function of temperature or time. The system allows for complex temperature profiles, and automatic gas switching is also supported. The vertical hang down offers stable and smooth mass readings. Typical analysis includes percent mass loss, onset temperature
calculations and residual mass.
