PFP HPLC columns
Phenomenex introduces a new line of Luna PFP(2) (pentafluorophenyl propyl) columns. These new high-performance columns bring the advantages of Phenomenex’s Luna silica with the unique chemistry of a pentafluorophenyl for increased selectivity and reproducibility for difficult compounds. Using multiple selectivity mechanisms including hydrogen bonding, dipole-dipole, aromatic and hydrophobic, these columns separate challenging compounds that are highly polar, halogenated, isomeric or aromatic. Luna PFP(2) columns are ideal for pharmaceutical and natural products research and are particularly useful in taxane analysis. The new Luna PFP(2) columns are available packed with 3 or 5µm particles and are offered in many different dimensions.

HILIC chromatography
Phenomenex has introduced a new line of Luna HILIC (hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography) columns for the analysis of polar metabolites in drug discovery and development. The columns deliver superior retention of polar compounds, increase MS (mass spectrometry) sensitivity, and increase laboratory throughput and productivity. These unique new columns retain a water-enriched layer on the surface of the silica that facilitates the transfer of polar compounds into the stationary phase for increased retention. Phenomenex’s unique cross-linked diol bonded phase delivers more reproducible HILIC separations. The new Luna HILIC columns are available packed with 3 or 5µm particles and are offered in 14 different dimensions.
