The new, updated version of the Mast website, www.mastgrp.com is now online. Mast has listened carefully to feedback on the previous site and subsequently implemented many additional features on this new site. As a result, they have made various types of product documentation easier to access, with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) product literature, pack size and product status information (stock or special) all provided on the specific product pages, without the need to complete time consuming registration forms. Instructions for Use (IFU’s) are also available to view online, with visitors having the option of being kept updated electronically of any amendments as and when they occur. Registered users also have access to additional materials such as batch specific Certificates of Analysis (CofA) and dedicated technical articles.

Mast is pleased to present a new version of the innovative GenoQuick MRSA kit from Hain LifeSciences offering rapid, highly cost effective results directly from patient specimens in only 2.5 hours. The kit utilises MRSA specific DNA sequences in the Staphylococcal cassette chromosome (SSCmec types 1-V) to enable direct detection without the need for timeconsuming culture. The simple extraction procedure minimises hands-on time, while being hugely scaleable – from 1 to 1,000’s of tests per day. Each individual test strip incorporates both amplification and conjugate controls improving user confidence in reporting the presence of MRSA from a patient specimen to a sensitivity of 10-15cfu.
