Powtech 2010 saw the launch of the Hosokawa`s Granulyser Type EGT 100/25 a unique concept laboratory machine designed specifically to provide a standard and repeatable test method to predict the strength and behaviour of granule. This is vital today as many products are in granular form. By replicating the shear, impact and abrasion forces acting upon granules in simulated industrial production plant conditions granule performance can be studied in detail enabling informed decisions to be taken on further processing steps. Developed jointly between Hosokawa Micron Ltd, Hosokawa Bepex and The Enzyme Dust Consortium the Granulyser is highly portable and compact. The Granulyser gives reliable repeatable results every time, it is operator friendly and is easy to dismantle and clean as removable parts can be placed in a dishwasher to clean.

Hosokawa Micron announce the launch of a unique concept in laboratory machinery for R&D. Featuring a series of eight individual machines specifically designed for the production of very small batches of between <1g and several grams, the Picoline equipment maintains, in miniature, the high class engineering standards and leading edge technology for which Hosokawa Micron is renowned. With machines for size reduction, classifying and mixing in the Picoline series, Hosokawa Micron is able to offer the widest wet and dry processing options for ultra small scale production on the market. Initially featuring the Picojet, fluidised bed opposed jet mill; Picoliq, agitated ball mill; Picomix, batch mixer; Piconizer, spiral jet mill and Picoplex, impact mill the series will be extended through the year with a further three machines.
