Rugged datalogger family
The Level TROLL family of water level, pressure, and temperature monitoring instruments has been introduced to the UK by Camlab of Cambridge to address a wide range of water industry applications including aquifer characterisation, longterm water monitoring and resource management. Each Level TROLL instrument model is designed to contain everything needed for monitoring level, pressure, and temperature in a single monitoring device. There are three data logging instruments to select from (Level TROLL 700, 500 or 300) and all are manufactured by In-Situ for accuracy, durability, and ease of operation.

Water quality sensor

The new Aqua TROLL 200 from In-Situ is a multiparameter water quality sensor designed for long periods of unattended monitoring. According to the new UK distributors, Camlab, the Aqua TROLL 200 is ideal for use in harsh environments for applications such as borehole monitoring or detecting salt water contamination in aquifers and waste water systems. The Aqua TROLL 200 accurately measures pressure, temperature and conductivity and derived parameters (Level, Total Dissolved Solids, Salinity) and can output results to a variety of data retrieval options - telemetry, laptop or PDA. Active components and the Lithium battery has a guaranteed life of 5 years or 200,000 sensor readings after which the sensor head can be refurbished and re-sealed with a new battery.

Ultraflexible ultrasonics
The camSonix range of ultrasonic baths from Camlab, offers 13 models from 0.8 litres to 90 litres, providing solutions for almost any laboratory or medical application. A feature of these baths is the ability to choose the operating mode to optimise the performance for specific applications. In Sweep mode the sound wave oscillated to ensure efficient cleaning over the entire surface of articles such as laboratory and surgical instruments. In Normal mode, energy is concentrated to give maximum efficiency for tasks such as emulsification, dispersion and mixing. These baths also feature an ergonomic, liquid-proof control panel, easy draining and a lid which ensures a low emitted sound level <75 dB AU.

Double Tamper Proof
Extending its range of innovative tamper proof plastics, Camlab’s novel Double Tamper Proof closure provides secure transport and storage for a wide range of applications including drugs of abuse, raw material testing and forensic sampling. The introduction of this new secure sample plastic bottle and cap with its two security rings provides double protection for sample integrity during transportation and storage. The size of the bottle can be tailored to meet individual customer requirements and is provided to customers with the cap in place and the first security seal intact; proof that nothing has been added prior to sampling. Unscrewing the cap and opening the sample bottle releases the first security ring which will break if any attempt is made to tamper with the sample during transit or prior to testing in a controlled environment.

Tamper proof closure
The East of England Development Agency has awarded Camlab a £40,000 grant from its ‘proof of concept fund’ to further develop an innovative tamper proof plastic closure system designed to provide secure sample collection for storage and transportation applications in a number of industries. The Double Tamper Proof closure provides significant security for transport and storage benefits for a wide range of sample collection applications involved with drugs of abuse resting, raw materials testing and food/supplement testing. The new closure is also ideal for a variety of legal sampling requirements within the environmental, forensics, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
