Density test method

Anton Paar has introduced the DMA 35n Ex Petrol. An easy to use, portable density meter specifically designed for testing of petroleum products and biofuels in the field. It allows fuels to be tested during the transfer process rather than sending them to a laboratory, saving time and money. The latest edition of the IP Test Book details a method for the use of portable density meters (IP 559 Determination of density of middle distillate fuels: Hand-held oscillating U-tube density meter method). The DMA 35n fully meets the requirements of this new test method and has the added benefit of being EX rated, enabling it to be used in any location. The instrument is intrinsically safe (Atex marking II 2 G EEx ib IIC
T5) with a housing that is resistant to petroleum products and solvents.
